Liberee var bara 12 år gammal när folkmordet förvandlade hela Rwanda till ett dödsfält. Hon minns fortfarande allt som hon såg då. De hemska minnena finns fortfarande kvar och plågar både Liberee och andra rwandier.
"Jag brukade ha en stor familj med föräldrar, syskon, mor- och farföräldrar och kusiner. Många av dem dog under de där månaderna,'' säger Liberee.
Moses är en far till tre och på fritiden är han en biodlare. Moses har jobbat för FN:s livsmedelsprogram (WFP) i 15 år och är nu på frontlinjen i WFP:s arbete med flyktingkrisen i Uganda. Som ett exempel, FN:s livsmedelsprogram (WFP), världens största internationella livsmedelsorganisation, har sett kostnadsökningar med över 140 procent under en sju-årsperiod, från SEK 18,2 miljarder 2009 till SEK 44 miljarder under 2015.
Det här är världens värsta kolerautbrott, mitt i världens största humanitära katastrof. Bara under de senaste tre månaderna har 400,000 fall av misstänkt kolera, samt 1900 relaterade dödsfall dokumenterats.
Viruset kan komma att ha en katastrofal påverkan på små kroppar som redan är svaga på grund av dålig näring. Samtidigt innebär pandemin också förödande konsekvenser för sårbara familjer som förlitar sig på en dagslön.
Tack vare länder som Sverige, kunde WFP nyligen allokera 180 miljoner amerikanska dollar till cirka 60 landsinsatser. Allokeringen kommer stödja de livräddande insatserna i Syrien, Jemen, Centralafrikanska republiken och Demokratiska republiken Kongo.
Rom - År 2019 fick FN:s World Food Programme (WFP) SEK 4 miljarder i flexibla medel, vilket motsvarade fem procent av organisationens totala mottagna bidrag - långt under rekordet på 19 procent år 2002.
Flexibel - eller icke-öronmärkt finansiering – innebär att WFP kan avgöra var och hur pengarna ska användas.
